I am a 41 year old high school English teacher. I love to laugh, read, play ultimate Frisbee, and spend time with my beautiful wife and incredible daughter. I also have narcolepsy. While the disease is rather new (official diagnosis was delivered on August 20, 2007), I have been coping with it on a large scale since the fall of 2001. Of course, I can now recognize signs of it as early as college (1986) and my paper carrying days (1982). It has been a long road, and I feel like the journey is just beginning. I am passionate about nearly everything I encounter, but never miss a chance to talk about Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Star Wars, Star Trek, Shakespeare, poetry, films, Harry Potter, Orson Scott Card’s Ender and Bean books, and King Arthur (hence the knights=nights pun). Basically, I am a terribly tired dork.
